Should I take physics as a sophomore? Is it hard?

I'm trying to take more classes that require effort but aren't necessarily hard... Anything besides an A is absolutely unacceptable. I need to learn organization skills and I don't want to look back on my high school years and think "eesh, what a slacker"... I'm already taking Spanish 3, Writer's Workshop, and AP History. Sophomores typically aren't allowed to take AP classes or physics at my school, so I'm honored, but I don't know if it would be managable. So is physics difficult? It would be nice to take it in place of science essentials, but I don't want to get overwhelmed.
