Buying a house with NACA?

From the day we attend the first workshop till the day we find a house and close on it...how long would it generally take? I am a very detail oriented person and I will make sure I have everything needed the first time at ever meeting and I am very organized so I will make sure I have that information not only at my fingertips, but constantly up to date. I have read it could take months to years...and I am not ok with the idea of it taking years. Also, I understand there is $0 down payment or closing cost's, but how much money will I need out of my pocket to purchase a house? I read all I can read on the website, and I just want to hear from somebody who experienced buying a house with them first hand.
