Is my Heritage guitar worth more or less as a prototype?

Generally speaking a prototype would be worth more, but proving it to be a prototype is a bit tricky. I'm not very familiar with Heritage guitars though, but I'd think you could get it appraised by an expert and find out what it's really worth before trying to sell it (and get it in writing!)
